Autumn Glitter

Okay, so while this isn't the typical+straight up 'fall' manicure, it sure does give me a feel of the season!

I originally started out with two coats of China Glaze 'Smoke and Ashes' which was part of their Hunger Games Capitol collection. Smoke and Ashes has a black base which has a blue pearl-like reflect in the light. However, while in the bottle these beautiful blue sparkles are pretty apparent; painted on it's not as noticeable. The sheen is very much there, but in my perspective I'd much rather have it be more bold. I still am fond of this color.

You can see in the picture posted above that the black pearl has it's blue tint from the very fine glitter.

On my ring finger, I applied another shade from the Hunger Games Capitol collection called 'Electrify'. Does it not remind you of Autumn leaves?! This is one coat of the polish over the Smoke and Ashes that I had previously applied. Electrify has a nice mix of a golden and burnt-red somewhat chunky specks of glitter. By itself, it's good to go after two layers and isn't thick which I find is such a plus; especially when it comes to glitter polishes.
